Obituary for White Kitty "Love" Myers Terrian

White Kitty “Love” Myers Terrian
? - 2009

White Kitty “Love” Myers Terrian went to rest in the lap of a loving God, December 18, 2009 at the estimated age of 18-20 years. Neither the place nor date of her birth is known.

What is known is that in October of 1992, White Kitty was found, apparently homeless, on the steps of a gift shop in Newberry, Michigan and brought by Elizabeth and Jeremy to the Myers home on Cooper Street. White Kitty made her home with this family for several years, in spite of the other companion animals that shared the family home. Weather permitting, she did find it necessary to seek occasional respite with the family across the road. There, she was given a bed in a deck chair under a covered porch.

White Kitty was preceded in death by Sally Ann Myers, her human care giver and special angel. With the loss of this significant person, White Kitty apparently decided to move north across the road. At her request, the door was opened to her. She walked in, growled at the resident cats and staked out a place of her own in the house and hearts of the Terrians.

White Kitty enjoyed her heated bed, a nice sunbeam, crunchy cat treats and travel. She recently returned from a trip to Northwestern Minnesota where she enjoyed the peace and solitude of a room of her own.
Even in declining health, White Kitty retained her fierce independence and her feisty attitude. She also became increasingly social with her human family. She liked to have her cheeks rubbed and to be scratched under her chin. White Kitty especially liked to be wrapped in a blanket and rocked in a rocking chair and would seek out these attentions.

White Kitty is survived by members of the Myers family, Elizabeth, Cindy (Preston) Fraley, Rebecca, Jennifer, David, John, Heidi, and Bret; members of the Terrian family, Jim and Marlys; the companion animals of these families, especially Lucy and Aldehyde.

White Kitty leaves behind cat hair on our clothing, paw prints on our hearts and precious memories of life shared.
